Greencroft Farm is a 170 acre beef farm just on the edge of Middleton By Youlgrave, it’s been farmed by the Wigley family for the past 40 years.

Greencroft varies from 600 to 1000 feet above sea level with many traditional pastures with hundreds of different wild flowers and various wildlife all sharing the ground with the 120 strong heard of mainly Hereford and British Blue cattle. The farm also boasts two SSSI (site of special scientific interest) an ancient burial mound and a lime kiln, both of which were archaeologically excavated in the 1800’s by local landowner and historian Thomas Bateman.
