
ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS
Walking is one of the main attractions to the Peak District, thousands of different trails and footpaths await budding hikers. Along with miles of cycle paths there’s plenty of cycle hire sites round the area, Parsley Hay, and Hassop Station being the two closest.


If the little ones get bored of walking and need a bit of excitement, there is plenty for them too, such as; Matlock Farm Park, Gullivers Kingdom, Alton Towers, Go ape tree top adventures, all within a 40 minute drive. Not forgetting the stately homes, Haddon Hall, near Bakewell and the world famous Chatsworth House offering beautiful gardens and grounds along with tours of the House.






5 miles down the road is the closest town to Middleton, Bakewell. Bakewell is set in an enviable location on the banks of the Wye, with the river meandering gently through the centre, this beautiful old market town is in the heart of the Peak District, surrounded by stunning countryside views. Famous for it's pudding!
10 miles the opposite way to Bakewell is the slightly bigger town Matlock, and just the other side of that is Matlock Bath; known well for it's fish and chips. Plenty more to do here too including arcades, gift shops, aquarium and more!
